How do I register on villa2swap?
    Click on "Register" button on the top navigation bar.
    On the new page, select a user name that you can remember & the e-mail account you wish to use with your profile. Both your Username & Password are case sensitive. Once you have selected your username, this can not be changed.
    You will be e-mailed your username and password to your e-mail address. Once you have received your password, login at the top of the site. You will then be in your own personal listing editor.
I’ve registered but cannot see my listing?
    You need to upload at least one photo and fill in the required fields in order for your listing to be viewable on the site.
How do I upload photos?
    Make sure you use JPEG or GIF images when uploading pictures. The file size that you can upload at any one time is restricted to 100 Kbytes in size. You can upload a maximum of four separate pictures. Each must be done separately.
    Use the “Browse” to select which photograph file, on your computer, you want to upload, then use the “Upload” button to send to a slot. On slow Internet links (such as modem dialup connections), some pictures can take some time to upload to the server so press the button ONCE. If it seems to hang, please allow time for the picture transfer. Please don't keep pressing the buttons many times.
    Repeat as necessary for slots 2, 3 and 4.
How are properties listed on the site?
    Properties are listed by country in a fully searchable database starting with the most recently updated. You can refresh your own listing to the top of the searches every 14 days simply by logging in.
Can I change my password?
    Once you have logged in with the password that was e-mailed to you, you can then change your password to one of your choice. (Please remember all passwords & usernames are case sensitive).
Can I change my e-mail address?
    You can change your email address - but please ensure you provide a valid email address as a new password will be sent to your new email address when you change your email address.
I want to permanently delete my listing
    If you would like to permanently remove your listing, please e-mail us stating your id number and we will then delete you from the system.
Why has my listing been removed?
    There are a number of reasons a listing may have been removed from villa2swap.
    1. You have not re-registered.

    2. You have not logged in, in the last 180 days.

    3. You have not followed the listing rules.

    4. You have not adhered to the terms and conditions of registering.

Can anyone see my email address?
    No one will have access to your e-mail address unless you type it out in any replies you send to other site users.
I want to contact others but I don't have a property
    If you do not own a property but have seen a listing you like and want to contact the owner, you will need to register.
    You do not need to fill in property details, just your contact information. You will now be able to contact other owners.

Why should I try villa swapping?
    You may have purchased your own holiday home, but do you really want to spend every single holiday going back to the same place? Villa swapping is a cheap and effective way of making more from your investment. You arrange to stay at someone elses home and they get to stay at yours.
    You’ll also often get many of the home comforts that so often are missing from package holidays.
Are there any hidden costs in an exchange?
    Owners would normally expect to pay household bills such as water, gas, insurance, electricity and local taxes. However, you will need to ask the question direct with the other party with regards to these items and other potential costs such as telephone, damage and any others you can think of.
We've agreed to swap. What now?
    Villa2swap do not get involved with any arrangements between owners so make sure you have all your agreements/contracts in writing to ensure that all parties are in agreement and you are fully satisfied before proceeding. Then have a great holiday.
Do I get any insurance cover with villa2swap?
    You do not get any insurance cover whatsoever with villa2swap. We are purely a listings database and do not get involved in any third party discussions. Any insurance claims that arise as a result of a rental/swap must be made under your normal buildings & contents cover.
